Running Out of Steam
I am exhausted. I think that's what all my posts this week have been about, but it's true. The Hunger Games have kept me awake too late for several nights, I'm done with the first two books. But, last night I actually didn't read for once. I went to Cirque du Soleil with my boyfriend and it was incredible. The things those people do with their bodies are amazing; I can't imagine how much strength it would take to do what they do. Although it was really cool to look at, it was strange. I have no clue what actually went on and nothing really seemed to go together... apparently it's supposed to be like that, though. My boyfriend and I agreed that whoever put it all together was definitely a bit disturbed because it was just so strange...

(Post)Midweek Confessions
Yesterday was a busy school day that didn't leave much time for confessions. After I got home, my time was spent reading the Hunger Games. Now with some 'free time' in Precalc, I decided that confessions are too fun to just forget about.
- On the topic of the Hunger Games, I started the second book around 4:00 yesterday and stayed up til 12:30 reading it... this is a little bit better than 2:00 on Monday night, but not much. I'm also reading them on my phone because I'm too lazy to go to the libarary or buy it at Barnes and Noble. Now that I've started reading, I'm glad I didn't get to see it yet. I need to finish these books before the movie ruins it for me.
- My allergies are terrible this time of year so my eyes are red and water frequently. Everyone keeps asking why I'm crying or if I'm high.
Awesome. - I've officially decided that Bio is the stupidest, most pointless class ever. I mean, some classes are pointless, but there's problem solving involved so it's moderately fun. Bio, on the other hand, is nothing but memorizing stupid information. A sponge doesn't have a respiratory sytem and Annelids are the first creatures to have a 'coelem.' Wait a minute, I don't care.... it seems like such a waste of time compared to Chemistry.
- This attitude is spreading to some of my other classes, I feel like if I've managed A's for the first three nine weeks, I should be able to make it the last nine weeks without trying... I'll try harder if the situation becomes desperate, but until then, I'm going to do the absolute minimum.
- The desire for summer is overwhelming; it makes me want to scream and cry because it's still too far away for my taste.
- My day was just ruined because the school has blocked emyselfandi.com :( apparently we aren't allowed to visit websites about 'paranormal and occult.' um?
- I'm pretty sure these confessions sucked. I would try to do better but I'm barely functioning on the little sleep I've gotten this week. Hopefully next week will be better! 5 more school days until Spring Break! florida.florida.florida.florida.florida....

It's a Triple Shot Kind of Day
Yesterday, I took what my engineering teacher calls a "mental health day." After two weekends of nothing but basketball and no catching up on sleep, I was exhausted yesterday morning. My mom finally took pity on me and agreed to let me stay home. I slept til around 11 and it felt amazing. After I woke up, I sat on our front porch swing with a cup of coffee and started reading the Hunger Games, finally. Slowly enjoying a cup of coffee outside with a book is one of my favorite things about summer and the beach. After some nice reading time, I did some much needed spring cleaning and then did some Behind the Wheel. After I got home, I finished cleaning and did a little bit of homework (probably not as much as I should have since I missed yesterday) and then I got back to the Hunger Games. My friends weren't lying when they said it was addicting. I went to bed at 2 last night... After I finally decided to stop reading, I couldn't sleep so I gave up and read some more.
Thank God my mom agreed to Starbucks this morning.. Venti Caramel Macchiato with an extra shot (they come with two). I'm hoping I feel the buzz soon, right now I'm just feeling normal. And most of all, I'm hoping I don't crash before this afternoon. I'm taking the National Spanish Exam and I feel like it's going to take some focus... Wish me luck.

Photo Friday.(:
While at Barnes and Noble the other day, I discovered a new favorite book. Grandma's Dead: Breaking Bad News with Baby Aniamls is amazing... I sat there and went through the whole book, laughing hysterically in the middle of the store. Later, I went home and googled it, and I discovered that there's a whole series! So, I thought I'd have a baby animals themed Photo Friday. Enjoy (:

Midweek Confessions
Happy Wednesday, friends. I'm braindead and tired this week so don't be offended if these aren't the best confessions ....
- I've had this library book for almost two months; it's due tomorrow and I'm only halfway finished...
- It is such a struggle for me to shave my legs... it's a pain in the butt and I really don't see a point when I'm going to wear jeans. It seems I'm going back to my winter habits of "shave my legs saturdays"
- We were just assigned a new engineering project to pick a fairly simple item and draw it out... I'm at a loss. My best idea so far: a tampon. But, I'm the only girl in the class so that might not go over too well.
- I went through my closet on Monday and now have a huge pile of things to take to the consignment shop... even with this huge pile gone, my closet is still waay too full and I'm still pretty sure I need to do more shopping.
- I haven't had a sweet tea in like two days and it's killing me. No, seriously.
- I keep getting this overwhelming desire to use hashtags on here today... #twitteraddict
- Android finally got Scramble and I'm addicted. But I suck; I've gotten beaten every round.

summer.summer.summer.summer. (and other random thoughts)
I'm feeling thoughtful today - maybe not in a good way; I keep contemplating everything and I thought I'd share some thoughts going through my head.
- It seems like each day we miss school, it becomes that much harder to go back. It's like being on a diet: eating healthy food is doable until you get a taste or smell of those wonderfully amazing fattening foods. This four-day weekend was like that for summer. It was a little reminder of the freedom and joy that we're missing out on until summer arrives. Instead we're stuck here for nine more weeks, 'learning' things we've known since maybe fourth grade.
- This morning, the desire to graduate early was more overwhelming than usual. I would only have to take a few classes in summer school and next year could be like a normal year. It seems that college is teasing me with all the letters and e-mails, making it seem closer than it actually is. I'm almost positive that college will be ten times more fun than high school. High school just seems so pointless; we never really learn anything and everyone is incredibly immature.
- I.WANT.MY.LICENSE. I have yet to actually learn anything in driver's ed that I didn't know already; the few things I did learn were things my parents don't even know... if they've survived this long I think I could manage without them. Oh, and I learned that I'm a 'borderline aggressive driver.' Watch out... Just like school, it seems incredibly pointless. May 22 is so tantalizingly close and yet, so far away... I find myself thinking about it more often than not nowadays.
- Standardized testing is dumb. Yes, SOLs, I'm talking about you. I don't see why everyone has to pass - not everyone studies or puts effort into school so why should the tests be catered to them? Not everyone is on the same level and the government shouldn't try to encourage it. Making sure that everyone is caught up, even if holds back others, is stupid and will be the reason why America is overtaken by China.

Photo [almost] Friday
Today is the last day before our four-day weekend; this means it's 'Friday.' I just finished my Precalc nine weeks test and decided I should upload some phone pics while I'm sitting here...
Got this in the mail this week; I'm so excited, I've never really considered UVA but the idea's growing on me...
The car hit 11,111 miles this week; I made my dad stop so I could take a picture... it's gotta be lucky right?
The weather's feeling awfully summery which means it's time for another re-reading of my all-time favorite book; notice the missing cover from too many days in my backpack and too many beach trips.
